But we can talk to the ones who made a map only once last year (COUGH...agama) and try to talk them into getting into mapping again it doesn't hurt to ask there are alot of gooooood quake ctf maps people tend to generate interest if there is interest shown in them some of them have bugs so, I've been having chats with grasshopper about this topic too he is willing to make attempts at map ideas which could be easily fixed yeah, many maps simple need some weapon balancing toxic has a bug that needs fixed yea balance them to nexuiz style In addition to getting the maps built, and forming a list of mappers to communicate with them, we also need a testing process I sometimes put maps on the batcaves to test out and give feedback we need much much more of that and besides, it's also fun :-) I think we need more maps like accident_v1 its very simple we need an accident_v4 I think heh haha i have days off coming up, if someone can help me get started with a map I will lots of time to put into it ok, so we need to collect notes on mapping ideas. Nothx actually, I did add some CTF maps to my DM server, and an onslaught map I think I had to edit the mapinfo file ok..... is everyone clear about the mapping problem and what steps we can do to improve it? * agamalama yes * PCLizard yes * Ulysses * ok good enough :-) :P ok Community servers I have a list of people already from the community meeting basically, we just need to figure out what we need from a collection of servers the batcaves are pretty good already but this is something I've been thinking about for a while we need more batcaves that aren't run by me mhm i think we need some public servers that can be used for clan activity a ladder server for the ladder so new people can see what nexuiz can really be like I think the whole "batcave" naming and idea, etc, should extend to other people running private servers for the community group it all together yea like I could run batcaves 1 -3... rockdon could be batcave 4 mhm pavlvs is starting his own servers they could be batcaves 5 - 7 nifrek has servers or something and they don't *have* to be called batcaves. Whatever the community wants i think we need to have some way of enticing new players to keep playing let them see clans playing I like batcaves yeah definitely show them some of the top level players making amazing shots I don't have that on my list, but the basic idea is that we need to be communicators.
